Ottawa Transit System For Stop Annuncements

Posted September 10th, 2009 by Jeffrey

It has already been shown to be unlawful for OC Transpo to not have an accessible system in place for announcing stops for passengers.

For those of us who live in Ottawa.

It would be in our best interest as a community, to individually write something to the various councilors on this new stop announcement system that is being proposed by the city of Ottawa. If you are sending something, please do so by no later than next Tuesday.
Rosemary Nelson [ Rosemary.Nelson@ottawa.ca ] has graciously offered to send all emails she receives to all councilors.

Write to tell them to vote this system through. If not, we have only ourselves to blame for not having a stop announcement system in a timely fashion.

If we wait, it will only cost taxpayers more money later on.   If city of ottawa had voted the automated announcement system (which was proposed at the time), when they bought the existing system, it would have only cost half as much as it now will.
